What you can do if you're facing eviction:
- You can still get help by applying for rental assistance today. Chapter 257 of the Massachusetts General Laws, states that an Eviction can be delayed if the tenant has applied for emergency rental assistance. To learn how you can apply for rental assistance and to see the most up-to-date information here.
- See what court will hear your case. Depending on where the landlord files the case, it can be heard in either the Waltham district court or in the northeastern housing court. Look at your court summons to see which court your case will be heard in. You can look up the status of your case or ask questions of the court clerk here:Northeast Housing Court

2) Become a Tenant Ally at Waltham Housing Court
WATCH is looking for volunteers to be a part of our Court Ally program. A Court Ally provides emotional support for the tenant during an eviction hearing and ensures that the tenant understands their legal rights.
Housing Court in Waltham is at the District Court, 38 Linden St, on Thursday afternoons.
